66 200 cid rebuild help

My daily driver is now a weekender and I finally have the time to overhaul the engine. Ok where do I start? Aside from taking a chilton's manual which doesn't show the step by step process and just breaking it down so I am left with a garage full of left over parts... I am searching for a how-to guide that will walk me through the process. Also, I am searching for a autolite 1100 1bbl carb. Thanks for your help
