Bought it from a friend. Custom x-pipe from a muffler shop. going to the muffler shop tomorrow to get it put on. i would do it myself but i have to get the ends welded on to fit on the catback. It also has cutouts on it. got it for $60.

Cutouts, you say?
Do you even have mufflers, then?

yes i do. THey are located right before the x. you just take off 3 wing nuts on each side and it's makes it open pipes. I really have no use for them, just if i want to be really loud.

I had some of those wingnut plate things. I gave them to the guy at the exhaust shop as a tip.
Loudness = the win.

I don't think it makes a difference, but thats just what i think. I'm just getting into exhaust, so I'm learning too.

It makes a difference for V8's
For V6's it doesnt.
Some say X Pipes sound better on V6's but there is no gain over a h pipe

Yeah, V6s fire evenly so they don't need any sort of crossover pipe. it just is good to have in case one piston loses compression. Also a bit different sound.
I am getting a nearly new mac X-pipe from a friend of mine who had it on his mach 1 but it was WAY too loud so he's installing a prochamber (he has an auto with SS mac cat back and 4.10 gears, so it's really tough to bear on the highway)
