L Ford engine. We get a call or an e mail a couple times a year. If

I emailed them last year. Jay said one of the remote pumps would work with a little effort.

Typical Drag racing electric water pumps will not last very long on a street car. you will burn it up in short order. Remember Drag racers only have the engine on for a few minutes at a time.

Yup. 3000 hours of engine time is the best you will get.

But they are very easily rebuildable.

I dont think they would last that long, on a 500 mile trip on the interstate would slap burn one up they are not designed for continous use

Don't know. The Meziere pumps seem like quality pieces.

They say they suggest high-flow (55gpm) pumps for street use and that they have a 2500+ life expectancy.

Name 1 production car anywhere that has a electric water pump?????? You are saying to your self well 2500+ is not bad. Well it is if you dont know when the time expires where will you be stranded. No most waterpumps last well over 100,000 + miles today so the electric pump is not even 1/100 as reliable.

Unless you have a drag only car it is just not worth it to loose the reliability!!!!

I'd get 3-4 years out of it. Reliable enough for me. The whole engine will probably blow in that time.

yeah, i always thought that they weren't very relaible, and if they made them they would probably be at least $300! i wouldn't wanna be paying $300 every 3-4 years for a stupid water pump. egh, i guess i got overly excited about the possibility of an electric pump. even if they made one i probably wouldn't buy it. i don't think it is even that critical right?

EWPs will gain you between 15-20HP top end. Maybe more. I'd pay $300 for that.

No doubt but like I said the reliability goes down. What sports car comes with an electric pump NONE Why relibility. You can get one it is your call but you remember to post when it fails you somewhere when you least expect it.

The problem with a belt driven waterpump is there is always some parasitic drag do to a impeller spinning in water which is drag . UDP's help a lot but there will be some loss.

yeah but a steep udp would be the best bang for the buck as far as hp gains and after all, a complete udp kit lasts a lifetime as opposed to 3-4 yrs.
