I am trying to learn how to "heel toe" although the correct way to do it with for toe on the brake and heel on the gas is a little bit to hard. It seems that i need to have a longer foot or different placement. I have also tried to do it the opposite way, although I get the same results. Does anyone else have a different method or, can you tell me how you guys do it, and how you learned? Thanks a lot or advice or any help.

Did you raise your accelerator pedal yet?

I have never seen a "nylon spacer" at any hardware store. What I did was take a little metal tube and make a slit in it and slip it over the cable and put a hose clamp around that to make sure the cable doesn't somehow come out. I read someone on another board did it with the sleeve of a pen, but I figured that wouldn't last very long.

hmm sounds like a good plan. Seems like it would be hard to make the slit in to fit over the cable?

There's no like... "right"... way to do it. Just look under there and you will see the cable coming through the back of the accelerator pedal. You just need something to pull that cable out an inch or so. My way works, but it was kind of a PITA, so if you find a better way, let us know.

I did what you said and so far it works great. Although it is hard to get the hang of it at first, it is pretty fun to barly press the accelerator and it take off.

Yes you must modify the gas pedal. Raise it so it is even with the brake
pedal. Heal and Toe does take practice, but the end result is harder
through the turns.

I've been heel toe braking since i got my liscence . i'm 20 now and i must admit at first it was hard but when you keep trying it gets easy like driving stick, it becomes second nature. I 've never heard of puting your heel on the gas and your toe on the brake cause then your bending yoru leg in and the human body doesn't do well with pigeon toe, when your toe faces in. its a lot easier to have your heel on the brake and your toe on the gas. i haven't modified my gas pedal at all so it is a little lower than my brake pedal but it doesn't effect my heel toe braking. just keep practicing, you'll get it.

what exactly is the advantage to heel/toe driving other than having faster access to the brake

heel toe braking alows your rpms to remain high so when you down shift your syncros in your tranny are at the right rpm to easily shift to the next lower gear. it puts less strain on your tranny and its syncros and you can keep more speed through corners by keeping your rpms up and your foot on the gas and brake.
