I was looking on kennebell.net and they had three different types of cobra applications. They had a 4.6L V8, 2003 model 4.6l (4V) V8 that had a 2.2L (9-26psi) and a 2.4L (9-30psi)!! I was wondering wats the difference was between the engines?

I know the 03 and up cast blocks with all the forged goodies have been running some serious boost. That is what the kenne bell does well. A couple guys back home in CO just with the stock blower ported, chip, pulley, cat back, x pipes and cold air intake, upgraded intercooler are pushing 500+ at the wheels. Similar setups with the Kenne Belle are pushing 600+ because the blower is so much more efficient. Haven't heard of anyone blowing up a short block yet.
They make non intercooled kits for 99-01 starting around 5-6lbs for $4200 all the way up to intercooled 25+lbs i think was $9000 ish
Haven't really looked for 03 retrofit kits

On SVTPerformance.com they were talking about a 03 Cobra running right under 600 hp before it damaged the engine... Most of them are talking about 550 - 560 hp safely before changing out the internals... I believe this works on the 03/04 because of the cast iron block and forged pistons... Im sure that much power would bust up an earlier block pretty quick...

Someday im gonna start saving for the Kenne Belle for mine. Probably wont go intercooled. Just a daily driver 99 Cobra. Still $4200 bones.
Supposed to put out about 6-8 lbs around 100 horse.

I am really not that much into Superchargers, enlighten me, what makes it worth that much money, aren't other brands of centriugal superchargers a lot less money?

i'm not going to pretend to know everything about S/C and its elements but with Kenne Bell you have no lag as with centrifugal S/C systems. and a 4 minute pulley swap helps along with the gains you see vs. a centrigugal system. more info here
