Acutally, I'm about to turn 17. 
My parents never took me. They thought the DMV was gonna want proof that I drove 50 hours (  ) before I took my test and the test was gonna take like 40 minutes.
They didn't even ask about thw 50 hours and the test was 4 lefts and a right. The fastest I went was 45mph.
But my insurance was pissing me off today. Keep in mind I will be driving a 1994 Ford Tempo. 4 door. Auto. With close to 150k miles. It's on its last leg. It's got a leak in the rear main and the tranny won't shift some times.
The wanted $95 a month for me to drive it. With my good student discount, it's $73. To be the primary on the Mustang, it's $200 a month.
But, because I'm primary on the Tempo, I can drive any car I want on my parent's policy. So I could drive my dad's truck/ my mom's SUV/ or my Mustang and still be covered.
And my dad is so scared of me driving. He didin't even want me to get my license. And my mom doesn't want me going anywhere while she's at work.
So the reality is, it's costing me $72 a month to stay home.

that's why my goal is to fix the ole' chevette. the raw 85 horsepower from 1982. the shitty interior and rusted hood along with the fading paint. but.....it's a 4 speed and rear wheel drive. |
