Previous Owner going back to the Stang

Well in my younger days I owned a 1984 Mustang coupe Turbo 5 Spd. I loved that car.

Well now several years, a wife and two kids later it's time to buy me a new one.

I need some professional advice from the gents here on whether I should buy this stang.

I am looking at a 2003 convertible with Auto, it has 24,000 KM and the asking price is $16,000 canadian. The reason the price is so low (others sell for 23k) is because it has been in a collision. The guy selling it says it has been in a front end crash that was strong enough to deploy the airbags.

My questions are:

Is the price worht it?
Should I look into this unit or should I just stay away from it?
Should I bother getting it inspected?

any advice would be greatly appreciated.

salvaged=bad, even tho its good now something might go bad, just look aroudn a bit more and you will find a deal

I would definitely say look around. That vehicle would be the end of the line for me. I would look for like half a year before I'd buy that one. And by then, if it's still there, there's more wrong with it than you should even worry about.

There's a great chance that it has a bent frame or may not have been repaired 100% correctly. You could end up in a situation where you have to replace one or more tires every 6 months. and that's no good.

Yep, www.autotrader.com is your friend. Also check out some of the forums. I'd suggest getting something that is a couple of years old just to avoid the depreciation that is nasty in the first couple years. That's just my opinion though.

not worth it, my car was smashed between two cars on the highway (rearended when sitting still) and i have had nothing but problems since.

I am shopping for the V6 convertible. I have done some reading on adding a superchrager if I find the horsepower is limting.
