IM thinkin of buying an old wave runner just for shits and giggles to have out on a lake out in kansas... but im just curious, what kind of things do you have to do as far as registration and boating license... stuff like that? Its just a little thing... probly no more than 500cc and im buyin it for like 300 bucks. Anyone know what sorts of things i have to do to make it legal or whatever youd wanna call it?

Boat registration.

Each state has it's own regulations on operator requirements. Check your state's DNR page for info.

wave runners rock i got one polaris 750 and one kawasaki 1100 get something with more power

as far as regulations each state varies. in michigan we have to get a sticker for the side, also because you have ur drivers license you dont need a boaters license at least thats the MI rules

the point is it costs 300 bucks and would just be fun to mess around on the lake and river with... im not lookin for a nice one, i dont have 1000's of dollars to spend on one.

hey, he can sup it up later. there are polaris wavrunners with turbos now. he could do some thing like that. or just traide up later.

that would be kinda funny, hopping the waves with the thing going waa waa waaaa waa then all of a sudden a psst. it would be a big "wtf" moment. it would be such a rush of spooling that thing on the water. i get tunnelvision when i got over 40 on a crappy one. i could only imagine a turbo on a nice 1100cc bomboardier(sp?) spooling and going like 70.yep, i just nutted myself.

sea doo makes a supercharged jet ski out of the factory the things BA there is one on the lake i have a cottage on and he is the only one that can beat my 1100 and he blows me away.
