I went and checked out X2C Sports this afternoon. When I parked and walked over, the garage was filled with Cobras. They had the huge drag racing wheels, turbo badges on them, and some monster engines in them.
When I came in they gave me prices for what they can do to my V6, which was pretty much everything you can do to a V6! Dunno if you guys go to the 3.8 Forums, WhiteSaleen248 also goes there for his stuff. They recently put a supercharger in his car. Anyhow, down to business.
They said they'd order the MagnaFlow Dual Exhaust, CAI, New Throttle Body, New Cams, a Chip, and I think he put in new gears all for $1,720. That's with installation too, so that would be the total. Does that sound about right to you guys? I know they are selling the Throttle Body for a lot cheaper than other places do. They also will install body kits but they don't paint. They also have these nice tail lights I was thinking about putting on the car.
I asked if they worked on anything else they said, "No, we only work on Mustangs." I got this little giddy feeling in me knowing I have a place to go for my car now

Well, the first problem is we only have one cam.
That sounds about right. Not a big fan of the Magnaflow though.
Yea, those are smoked taillights. You can get the VHT paint to tint them yourself and when you hit the brakes they will light up red.

you do NOt need to install a new cam until you have ported and polished heads and intakes to go along with em, else you just wasted an install cuz you have to take almost all of the same stuff out to do it again... if you want the best power get ported heads, intakes, and a cam and get them to install it for you. you will have alot more power and tq adn you can do teh bolt ons later on. I would not get a throttle body unless you have ported intakes and heads and then have the upper TB enlet on the intake enlarged to match the throttle body size.
i would get rear end gears adn a tlok unit along with exhaust and a cai for N/A and if you do the heads and intakes with a cam get soem long tube headers and dual exhaust.
the heads/intake/cam will run you 1500~ email rgrcfm1@yahoo.com he does GREAT work and really knows his stuff, he has been porting heads and intakes since around 97, if you need his phone number i can get it for you also perhaps. just see what he has to say, you can get the guys to install all that for you pretty cheap, should be around 2500~ to 3,000 for all the stuff installed and you driving down the road, but remember you have to buy all new gaskets and better bolts and all the little thigns so thats why the price is a little steep.

^^^i have to agree. but a dual exhaust, intake, chip and gears for 1100 is a dam good deal in itself. thats like the price of all the parts and theyre throwing in free labor for the installs. id do it, that would set a good basis for mods. then each mod after would yeild an even bigger power increase.
i would hold off on the cam too, no need to until you can actually get more air into the engine to get the full effectiveness of the cam.

exhaust 300 bucks, cai 100 bucks, gears 400 bucks chip 300~ labor alot, so its not a bad estimate i dont guess but H/C/I is a MAJOR improvment where those are just... decent improvments.

If you are really serious about modding your six then go ahead and do it. By the way the taillights look good.

300-500 or more for install~ plus gaskets you need you will just have to ask around and see what people charge you dont want to put in a cam if you have never done it.
