Yeah so I'm sitting at a light listening to CKY, I'm headed to a friend's place and had a long day at work. I suddenly hear a ricer like exhaust come up next to me, I casually look a little to my right and see the STi hood. I knew exactly what it was before I even looked further to see it was an STi. A friend of mine might be buying one soon, so I've sat in those things and know pretty much all I have to know about them. So I check out who's driving it, and wouldn't you know it. 2 little 17 year old kids are driving it. Thanks Mommy and Daddy I can imagine. Or I'm sure working over nights at McDonalds really pays off? So I notice the passanger chuckles at me and says something to his buddy. I roll my eyes and say to myself, "Here we go.." I just look ahead and ignore the small revs the STi gives me.

BOOM he jets off. I look over at him and slowly move up getting to 35 till I get to my light.
I'm no idiot, I won't race something I know I'll get beaten to. Unless I feel stupid and wanna know how fast they can go from a launch.

And later that night my bro and I go to a friend's place at different times so we took our own cars. On the way home we try out my new car against his LZ. We pulled up to a green light and waited for it to go red, it was about 2 in the morning so no one was out and we weren't going to do something like this in day light and with other cars on the road. We sit waiting patiently as we talk to each other with our windows open. Then the other light flicks to yellow.

We bolt, well, I bolt. His LZ's tires spin giving me the advantage. Of course that's what happens a lot in these front wheel drive cars.. I got a car length in front of him when he slowly begins pulling up to match me and eventually finish me off with half a car length. Our street was coming up so we slowed down and got home.
Anyhow, before we slowed down I realized we were going 80mph.. I kinda freaked out and realized that this is kinda stupid. I started thinking about what could have happened if one of us may have hit some bump we didn't know about, or if another car pulled up in our way suddenly. My brother could have been in the hospital or even myself. So I'm going to stop my racing for quite awhile, I wouldn't mind doing this all at a track but the distance itself is kind of a pain. When my friend gets his STi and I do the modifications to my car, we'll all hit the track then, for now I'm stick'n to being safe and call'n it quits to it.
