I am going to begin working on some drastic changes to the front page of the forum ( http://www.mustangevolution.com/forum/) and before I start this I want to see how many of you are stuck 100% on using the Fluid design?
The reason I ask is that if I can stick to just a fixed width design it will make coding the new forumhome so much easier.
If enough of you use the Fluid, I'll do it though. So speak now or forever hold your peace.

I'm on fluid...just changed to fixed...it looks horrible...I like the wide screen abilities of fluid.

I use fluid myself as well, I think you are going to lose this battle Brent, but I think I can live with it either way... I just prefer fluid.

I'm not sure I know what you mean by Fluid. How about a brief discourse on what that means, provided that's not opening a can of worms.

There are options at the bottom of the page as to which layout to use. Fixed has it where the site is just a set width. It doesn't matter if you have a wide screen monitor or a regular monitor. The site is a set width. If you have a wide screen, or just high resolution, then you get large bars of white on each side of the site content.
Fluid is the oppoisite. It doesn't matter what size your monitor is, the content adjusts itself to the width of your screen to fill the whole screen.

I was not aware there were options. Now that I see the fluid it is pretty cool...but not worth the time if it's a major hassel. I don't see it being that big of a deal...

I've been using fixed since the beginning and don't have a problem with it, and I have a widescreen monitor
