oooook, I need a shift kit for a 2001 Mustang v-6 auto. B&M I hear is a good name, didn't find one for my application. How hard are these to install on your own?... or with friends? Plus, how long of an install job is it? Thanks for your replies

I would highly recommend against trying to install this on your own. If you mess it up (which is easy to do) then you get to buy a new transmission.
Most places will install one for about 100 dollars

B&M Doesn't make one for a 2000+ theres a differant valve somewhere....anyway, the only 2 i know of for 2000+ are Trans-Go, and Superior. I would recommend you take it somewhere to have it installed, When mine got installed it took them about 45mins and was about $85. and you might as well change out the tranny filter while the pan is dropped off.

The best shift kit out there is from TransGo, don't be worried about installing it, they include a VERY detailed video with their kit. It is extreamly simple.
Also, check out this link... http://www.sccoa.com/articles/transgo.html
