2001 Cobra fuel leak (I know wher3e the leak is)

I just have a quick question about replacing that damn grommet. I saw a post (i believe here) that was for the 5.0 that was for replacing that gasket without dropping the tank. I pretty much got everything off but cannot wiggle the filler neck out. Did they change something for the 01 Cobras that prevent the easier way of doing this? I tried dropping the tank but couldn't get the fuel pump disconnected even with using the plastic 5/16 clips, so I bolted the tank back up and pretty much got to the point of pulling the neck out of the tank...is there any tips or tricks to doing this? Or cause I have a 4.6 01 cobra (saw the guide was for a 5.0) but figured It could have been done. So any help here?

Got the bastard...what a pain it was but a few twists and pulls seemed to get it to pop out of the tank. That seal was almost in split in half so was a good idea to finally get around to replacing it.

yea those seals are prone to going out on our cars.
