TICKET'S for not enough cats!

ok heres the deal I got ticketed in my 88' GT for not enough cats my car has 2 high flow cats, passed emmions but yet I got 2 $390 fines one for each cat that was missing does this sound right?

Where do you live Some states like Oregon have on spot failure if they dont see stuff that is suppose to be there!!! no if ands or buts.

i am glad i live in the south where they dont give a crap about emissions. the 64 would be exemnt, but i would be SOL with the offroad h-pipe on the 90

But in 2007 we will all have to conform to federal laws that require all states to have car inspections and the same damn emission standards as California. It will also effect outboard motors and lawnmowers

well then in 2006 i am selling the 90 and puttin the 64 back on the road full time.

how the heck are they gonna moniter outboard motors and lawnmowers those two things dont get registered always at least i know my lawnmower aint gettin checked nor will my fishin boat motor cuz my boat has stickers from 01 hahahaha

You dont quite get the picture. The current types of Inspections will go out the window. no more jim bobs best friend will pass you for 50 bucks. The Federal Government is taking over the process and will be monitoring. They are investing billions into equiptment trhat will check cars, boats, Trucks, Farm equipment, Motorcycles for emission violations. The fine has been set a $5,000 charged to the state for every car that has passed inspection but fails a Federal on the spot inspection
Oh you can thank ol Clinton Gore for that really great piece of legislation. Clinton signed the bill with less than 6 months left in office

They are bitches because they are enforcing community noise laws ??????
They have a job to do and are required to enforce the laws or be fired

I have none also but I dont have chambered mufflers like flowmasters either With Dynomax itis reasonably loud without causing to much attention.

Yea, I like your exhaust a lot, my Bassani is straight threw not chambered. It sound good not too loud, but as of now its only a catback on the car.
