I just got a Borla Cat-Back and I was wondering what kind of midpipe to buy. I got the regular Borla and not the Stingers. I was thinking about going O/R and putting some high flow cats on there. Anyone got suggestions?

Getting the o/r x pipe and putting high flow cats on it. Would sound damn nice with the regular borla mufflers.

^ that's what I've been told too.
I've run my Borla catback on my GT for about a year now, sounds great, but hopefully once the money stops getting sucked into this damn wedding, I'll be able to get a mid. I've asked all over, and am always told o/r X or H, and probably high flow cats. Brands? That's what I've no idea on.

The 5 piece bassani is a quality piece. Gives you the option of O/R or catted which I like.

from what I've experienced, I like the o/r sound. Seems a little more raw to me.

If you can get away with that emissions wise go for it. There is no power difference power wise between high flow cats and no cats so it just depends on the sound and how loud you want your car.

yeah.. I remember when B put an o/r X on his v6.. sounded good after a while, but like a dying cat when you pushed her.
It was crazy.

an X on a 4.6 is a bit to raspy IMO I would probably go with some form of H

I have an X and i want an H. I want the more hollow sound. Aidan_04 as far as brands the Bassani 5 piece, upr makes a good one. Do not buy Pypes(horrible). It doesnt really matter. The bassani 5 piece like Brad said would make it catless or have cats. Thats probably your best bet.

That's what I've been told.. a friend with an older GT put an H on his, and it sounds much better.
B's set on the Bassani 5, so we'll prolly go with that on her..
and I hear ya on the Pypes.. that's what B used once already.. HORRIBLE.

also if you listen to 4v engines vs 2v its very different, IMO the 2v's have a more noticeable growl for some reason~ vs 4v's that sound... um more busy if you will ~

I also have an X on my 5.0 but would prefer an H. I actually have the Pipes X on my car and it fits great. I had a MAC offroad H and it fit horrible. My Dad ended up buying the Pipes for his 2000 GT because he liked mine so much but it was the exact opposite, fit horrible so I think it's hit or miss.

I spent about 3 hours with my exhaust guy getting my Pypes X to fit on the V6. It took a hammer, a torch, and 2 guys to put it on.
O, and the 02 bungs were in the exact wrong place. If you mounted them in their bungs the 02 sensors would be about 2" from the ground. So we also plugged those and tapped new bungs in the top.

Lol...this might be an option. If that's the case then they made the 1 piece X pipe bends in the wrong direction...
