eec code???

dumb question i just got the sct tuner and i love it, but to get the software "file " for my desktop the person that installed that and my gears asked for the year and the eec code and then he will send me the info. were do i find this magical number? Could it be as simple as the number on the back of the tuner? or do i have to pull a superman to find this number somewhere else. please let me know because i don't know  |

i always thought it was what tells you somethings wrong but after research i came up with this someone correct me if im wrong, i will continue to look also. Hidden behind the passenger side kick panel of your Mustang is the core of your car's performance capabilities - the Ford Electronic Engine Control, there has to be a chart somewhere on the net telling codes hopefully someone will chime in

Look on the EEC itself, there is a label with the code.
Usually 3 letters & a number for example mine is BEH2.
There is also a sticker on the passenger door but it is not always correct.

its on your actual PCM
Your PCM is located behind the passenger kick panel. You take that off and look in the back and you will see your computer.
Take the computer out (in my case I didnt have to it was on the outside. But you will see the code on the outside. Should be bolded |

not going to believe this but i can't get the file open. I just can't win for losing, i finally got the file then i went to open the dam thing and guess what? of course just like always when u send more money than u should have . I can't get the file open. the file ends in .zcf good thing i don't have any mods waiting for this software or i would really be going nuts.

ok they sent me more files but they are just computer talk, Am i doing something wrong or what? I am just glad i had the tune first. I will hopefully get a pic of my car up here soon she is sweet
