What size do you think is going to be better for traction? not just dry, but like wet, and snow
a 245/45/17 or a 275/40/17
I already found the tires I'm going to get, but don't know which is gunna be better. I'm running a 17X9 rim size

245 is WAY to small i thougth you should have figured that out having to replace a 17 by 9 rim after curbing it with a 245 tire.... and plus it looks bad and stretched out.

yeah, but I've been hearing that 275 is worse in snow then a 245 is. And we get our snow, so I need to think about that. Cause the mustang is my everyday driver. I don't have a winter beater

a 265/40/17 is not the right over all diameter and its a bad idea to buy those when you can get 275s for the same price and have the correct size tire. on an 18 inch rim a 265 is closer to being the over all diamter i do belive than a 275 and this is why it works better on 18s and a 245 adn 275 in the snow... both will suck not much you can do about it one wont be worse than the other.

Just get some 15" stokers and put some snow tires on them providing thats in your budget. Thats what i would do if i was in the situation where i had to drive in snow.

I went ahead with the 245/45/17's in the Pirelli Nero M&S's, so we will see how those go
