Wasup everyone, I just got a 97 convertible about a week ago and I want to take the stock tape deck out of it and put in a CD player. I have all the equipment wiring harness etc. and when I took out the deck it had 2 sets of wires connected to it, but the wiring harness I have has 4 connections, I'm totally baffeled. Anyone shed some light on this? Many thanks in return!
did you buy the wireharness for the mach system? Do you have the mach system? The mach has two decks, one upper that has the radio and the cassette player. the bottom one is the cd player. You will need to take both out to put an aftermarket head unit in.

If you didn't have the mach system...just hook the harness up to the two that match. Should work just fine like that

If it's like my '98, you have to reach back there and unplug this one plug that goes to the factory amp (Hey, that's what the genius at Circuit City told me.) and use the plug you have from there.
It's the easiest thing you'll ever do when doing something to you car.
