Any word on if Ford is going to produce a 2010 BULLITT edition mustang? I am going to hold off on buying a 2010 model until I find out. I almost bought the 2009 BULLITT until I saw the new GT coming out.

Ford has said it plans on never making another Bullitt again, that the 08/09 edition will be the last.
Expect in 2011 for a BOSS edition Mustang, with the 6.2L BOSS engine under the hood.

I heard they may be making a Boss too. If they do it better be good. I love the old Boss 429.

Go out and get yourself an 08 Bullitt at an incredible bargain.
Just be prepared to be invisible, which by the way is how I like it because I'm old and my "Peacock" days are over.
My 09 Bullitt has exceeded my expectations, and later on if (when) I tire of it's current power output there is always the supercharger option : )

Yah I hope they don't make another one either. I wish they just made the 01 bullit, and not the 08/09's...not saying I don't like them, they are nice cars, but I still think it's made the bulllitt name too common and bland.
Thank god they haven't redone the Mach 1 using the S197.

also note in 2011 the mustang should get a MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH needed power increase, 300~ hp is sad for this day in time with a V8.... so expect a huge leap (they had better...) and if all is good it will be the 5.0L modular engine with 400 hp

^^^Yah and hopefully by then GM will have taken such a hit that they kill the camaro again and the new mustang/engine can soak up all the attention like the 03 cobra.

Yes: Boss, Modular 5.0, big HP increase on the way-and no mas Bullitt. I for one-think it's prett bada$$ that they have a S197 Bullitt-they are really nice. I still am not crazy about some of the styling changes in the 6th generation car(s)-`still love that they are `Stangs, though. I had 4 Mustangs-4th generation-loved very one that I have owned/own..

Yeah, I've heard rumors of a possible Bullitt, but I think the Boss is going to be a better bet for Ford. I've been reading some rather impressive numbers and such for the next/new Boss 5.0.
This is rather a very exciting time to be a car guy, and Ford guy for that matter. I'm excited to see Ford doing MORE with less as opposed to Chrysler and GM. They're thoroughbreds are much heavier and have more power, BUT, are achieving the SAME numbers as the mustang.
I think and believe that both Chrysler and GM are going to have a tough up hill battle keeping pace with Ford.

they need to stop making bullits since they promised in 01 they wouldnt make another... they should make a new mach 1, boss, something besides the bullit to be between the GT and the GT500 (and stop making the shelby gt (aka a gt mustang))

Forums = BS 95% of the time. I deal with people from Ford R&D on a timely basis and there are no Bullit Projects that they can speak of at this point. Magazines won't post anything unless it is factual as it could burn their ass. Show me where they have done that? If they have it is more than likely speculation.

^^^Yah, that's true. But I'm just sick of all the hype about the camaro. I don't think it's that great...just because it has been gone for 8 years doesn't mean a new one is automatically going to be amazing.
It has big numbers and a big price tag and it will die off in a few years...Ford will produce a mustang able to compete with the camaro right when it is killed by GM. It will be a replay of 02-03.

Let me correct that: Ford will produce a mustang able to demolish the camaro right when it is killed by GM.

For the record, the Mustang has always been the underdog when compared to a GM product off the showroom floors until recent years.

Oh yeah, I don't doubt that. All through the 90's right up to 02.
The Z28 and SS numbers were always more impressive than the GT and cobra off the showroom floor. In 01, the cobra was rated at 320 and the SS at 325, but the SS still beat it out in the straight thanks to more cubes. But the cobra was a better handling car, it had better steering and felt better in the curves. Plus the cobra was said to be more practical and easier to live with day to day. In my book, that is a win, because the average person buying one is going to want the more accomodating car that still offers suitable power and speed.

Again, I must concure with above comment. That, and I look forward to squaring off with a new slowamaro on the strip sometime (V6 or V8 win or lose i don't care).
