i tried that on mine.. didnt work so maybe its the battery gone bad.

My freaking keyless entry stopped working, I replaced the batteries in the fob but it didn't help.
BTW, in those instuctions, what do they mean by "run" is that the ACC position or the position to actually start the car?

the way i had to do it was put a jumper wire on the actual unit in the trunk, then turn car to run, then press a button.

Yeah, I just found out the way to do it on a pre-99 stang and tried it and it didn't work, I thnk there is a phsyical problem either with the transmitter or the receiver.
