I heard it was 1000hp if you get the kind from Kenya. They also rev higher too.

I have 3 options I am considering. It all depends on what is for sale when I get my taxes in. I listed this thing for sale now figuring it wouldn't sell for a couple weeks, but it sold in less than one day. It was nuts. But, it's off the car and I just need a box to ship it out in.

The install I'll get more pics of. I'll probably re-use the write up I used for removal as the removal portion of it. I have a PM out to the original author anyhow.
I was going to do detailed pics and everything when taking it apart, but, it was too damn cold. Only took about 2 hours to remove those, must have been the cold weather motivator.

The right tools...that's the key phrase right there.
It's funny tho, the last time I helped take an eaton off my car, I was the onlooker mostly, and just lent a hand when needed, it took about 5 hours to get it off the car....it was in a shop too with all the right tools. lol

the best tool to have is a good set of hands. I guess the first time that tool was left in the box

If you don't do the write up I'll make sure and detail mine. Hell...we can combine pictures of both and get a really good, detailed article.
I plan on also detailing idler pulley swaps and lower pulley setups as well as a few other things.
Someone needs to just hang around our garages with a camera to take pictures for articles....you up for hiring Brent? lol
BTW, put an oil seperator on there Rob...

Um, I already have 2 JLT PCV dumaflatchies on there....
When I did the swap the first time, I had about 1/2 qt of oil in the lower intake. This time around I have 0 oil...the only thing that ended up in the lower intake was coolant as we pulled the blower off after pulling out the IC manifold thingy.

Must be left-over oil from before then. I'm hoping mine doesn't even look that bad...

Are you talking about on the IC? If you are, yeah, I never cleaned it when I did the swap last time. I am getting it sonic cleaned this time around before the new blower goes on.
If you're talking about any moisture in the valley, it is due to IC coolant.

For comparison, here is how the IC looked the last time it came out...this pic shows the same side that is visible in the pic above.

How would you go about cleaning it or "sonic" cleaning it as you put it?

They weigh 7.4 pounds.....so...figure 10 bucks each way?
Or, you could order a brand new one from amazon racing for about $575 shipped...it's not OEM which is around $800-1000 for some lame reason.
And for reference...the eaton alone weighed 34.4 pounds.

I've got the perfect box for shipping an eaton too.......
It seems the whipple box will fit an eaton quite nicely.

Um...you'd only need to send the IC...so you wouldn't need your "friends" whipple box to ship out just the IC....
