00 gt auto trans issues

Has anyone had problems with stalling when shifting into reverse? This feels just like letting out the clutch in gear with the brakes applied.
4.6 with 148000 thou. on trans.

just happened to me 2 the other day first time... so i just dont stay in reverse to long

I just changed the shift solenoids, tcc solenoid, harness, and bulkhead connector just for the fun of it. No change. Some people think there is an internal leak due to the miles on it.

Could be the torque converter. could be the front pump on the trans Make sure the trans fluid level is correct and change the filter because this can cause similar problems. The TCC bypass valve could be worn causing the TCC clutch to stay engaged. you got alot of mile on that trans

same thing use to happen to mine before I replaced the IAC. Hasnt done it since though. :-/

I replaced it, but it did not cure my problem. Having a trans shop checking it out now. |

talked to my mechanic and he said it could possibly a dust or dirty tb or maf

TB cleaned like new and MAF checks out to spec on NGS and snap on scanners.
I will forward info. when prob. is found.

what color is yours by the way. lol mine hasnt done it yet... still spins them in reverse for evasive maneuvers
