I'm about to sit down and develop a garage add on that actually doesn't suck. I've gotten pretty good at understanding vBulletin and so I want to finally get a good reliable non buggy garage up that won't take a dump with a major upgrade and will work with our new profile systems.

The garage won't handle pictures. It will use your pictures from your albums you already created. The garage part of it will just be info on your car and then it will list your albums on your garage page.
It will also be integrated into your profile above your albums. |

Thats hot Brent. ? Will it have factory specs of the type of car we have like hp/trq/wgt as well as the things we've added to it to try and determine what were working with now. you know. for example, "the car is like this stock but i've done this to it and now i got this!" |

I'm still kind of discovering things to add as I build it. I have a few ideas floating around in my head about allowing members to easily link to the parts they have on their car so others can easily find them and buy them. Who knows what kind of stuff we will end up having when its 100% done. |

Sometimes it's really hard for me to shop for things for my Mustang. I work 2 full time jobs and most of the time i just want to sleep! I had my brother in-law shop for all the parts for my supercharger kit just because i don't have time to look for stuff myself! I don't intend on making a copy of somebody elses Mustang but it would be a lot easier to shop for things that way! I do wanna see how most of the things i buy for my car look on it before i buy it and then determine i don't like it!! So IMO, that's a great idea! |

If you get into that level of detail on the parts, you should also include a rating system for the parts. Each user could rate each of their parts, then you could query all the users to display total ratings and do all sorts of fun things from there.

I think you're gonna be opening a huge can of worms with the whole parts thing...
Probably the best thing to do would find a way to only link parts that our sponsors carry and have that link carry you to that particular sponsor's site to buy. There are so many different manufacturers and parts that I don't see it being a complete possibility.
