These are the pictures of hurricanes Ivan, and Jeaneane* taken from the
International Space Station by a guy who's flying up there right now. 
Don't ask which is which, because I don't remember what he said in the e-mail...
Also, these pics were huge - so I had to resize them, and reduce the quality
a little... if you want the originals for wallpaper or something - PM me.

Those are holes in the cloud cover. There aren't waves that big in deep sea... They stay
under water, and raise up when the depth gets shalow. That's how tsunamis work, you
can't even see a tsunami when it goes through deep sea... You can be right on top of it,
and you won't even know. When it gets to a shalow spot though, all that energy creates
a killer wave. |

Some other pictures I got a month ago....
1: Earth... You can see one of the SS's solar panels.
2: Earth...
3: Kilimanjaro Mountain. That's ice in the middle of it... that's like millions of years old.
4: Moon...
5: Soyuz. Basically their escape pod. It's sitting on the bottom of the SS. and they're supposed to hop into it when some shit goes down. |

Thats awesome, while I was in Middle/HighSchool, I did a ton of research papers and such on the ISS, I kind of lost interest, but I might start up again on following it, awesome stuff.
