Hi Im Mike from Chicago Il. I have a 2001 Mustang and run between 13.90 and 13.70. My choice of mods are as followes. My car is my work car and a daily driver. My car has auto trans. I hope this info helps you get your car into the 14s. 11lb ati procharger, 42 lb injectors, high volume fuel pump, 2600 stall, pro-m mass air flow, 373 posi rear end, mac long tube headders (use mil eliminators) NO CATS , H pipe ,mandrel bent exhaust( 7.5 rear end and its holding up fine), and the most important item A NEW CHIP BURNT JUST FOR MT MODS BY FORDCHIP.COM. ( no im not trying to sell you somthing.) I ran 13.90 on street tires at Byron Drag Way 2 weeks ago with a 3;43 gear and now with a 3;73 i run into 13.7s. on street tires. Using a power to weight ratio formula my car should run a 13.55 once i get my driving and pwershifting down. (I hit the rev limiter at times and the car boggs for a sec)
yes pwer shift your auto trans and you will make more boost than if you just let your car shift. computer shifts at 5500 rpm i push it to 6200 before it hits the limiter. with the 3;43 gear (your stock gear is 3;27) my 13.90 run is as followes. r/t .167,6o ft 2.051, 330 5.874, 1/8 mi 8.935 ,@83.31 mph ,1000 ft 11.617 1/4 mile 13.906 @ 98.21 mph My 13.7 slip is in my car and my car is not here right now.
