electric pumps

ok so i know that a common mod done to the older model cars is electronic fuel and water pumps. I am under the impression that the late model stangs have electric fuel pumps but what about the water pumps? I havent seen any for sale. Does anyone know where i could get an electric water pump and if it is worth it to do this mod (if possible)

I thought the water pump was driven by a pulley? Hince Under Drive Pulley and people having Problems with overheating witht hem? :-?

The water pump, along with everything else, is driven by a pulley. Your ALternator, power steering, water, and A/C are all driven by your crankshaft pulley.

If you get an electric pump, you will have to do some re-working with the belt to get everything to run correctly.

I've never heard of someone putting an electric waterpump on our V6.

right, they are pulley driven, thats the idea. If you replace a pulley driven part with an electric part you can free up some hp. But like relik said, ive not seen a electric water pump for the v6.

There would be to much custom fabrication to even bother with that. You would only free up like 2-3 hp anyway. Not really worth it.

Just use a short belt for the track or something.
