94 232 vs. 97 232

Are there any differences between the 94 V6 and the 97 V6? I have a 97 3.8L and the engine is starting to show wear and since i am stationed in England with US SOCOM i cannot get parts too easy but i found a 94 3.8L with a little over 46000 miles on her for sale and was wondering if it would directly bolt on to a T-5 tranny and have all the electrics and various hoses line up correctly...

No, there aren't really any differences. The upper intake lacks one vaccum port, and that's about it. One word of advise is that 94-early 96 V6's are notrious for blowing head gaskets. Just thought you should know. So if I were you, I would use the engine for parts, or you can put the 94 engine in the car and change the head gaskets then you will be fine.

so if i use the 94 for parts for the 97, say the upper and lower intake( if i port and polish them) will they fit alright or should i throw the 94 engine in whole and rebuilt the 97?
