If every member could donate atleast 2 dollars per month to help with getting the server paid for that would help tremendously. Plus anything extra at the end of the month is put toward purchasing two new servers found here I would be getting the two 1.3ghz boxes until we out grew them. Our current server consists of only one 1.3ghz server which is struggling to handle our current traffic level.
I can set it up so that paypal automatically takes the 2 dollars (or more if you want ) per month out if you wish.
All the money will go into making this site badass you can mark my word on that
If you would like to donate send me a pm and i will get you set up!

After we finish the members garage section ( http://mustangevolution.com/forum/vbgarage.php? ) which you can see some things are in the process of being added we will then start working on the Main page for this site.
Its taking awhile we know but thats because Smurfin is the only one doing the actual coding and coding takes along time to test and write. So I cant give a time frame on a main page because we are going to take our time on it and make it worth all our time.
Its going to be badass I can tell you that much

I plan to upload more updates to the garage at some point today. They should get the garage near completion. I decided to stay home today in order to get them done and out of the way. Hopefully we will be able to start in on the main page stuff very shortly. Like Brent said, it will be worth it.

this $2 thing aint gunna work. you won't get enough people to give money.
do like what we did at LSS - offer a special membership for those that donate $20. give them their own special forum that nobody else can post in and offer special benefits. maybe you can send out decals to paying members as well.

Good point here... Most of the people wont step and donate money... You should get some things together to sell. Like Brent and I have talked about... T-Shirts, Sweat Shirts, etc. Maybe some better paying sponsors would help also.
I am not saying that asking for donations is a bad thing, but you have to look very closely to the percentage of people that will donate. No, 2 bucks isnt much, but its giving them something worth donating for. For example: If you donate "X" amount, you will get a sticker... If you donate "Z" amount, you will get a T-Shirt and so on...

im not so sure about that either. like i said above, have a set amount to donate - $15 or $20. give the people that donate special privelages, and a higher status. a secret forum is a huge incentive. it worked great over at LSS, and i think it would have good potential here.

I'm just so poor right now. Spending $2.09 on a coke and a twix bar was expensive to me right now.
