got a nice guy here who comes out to some of the car club meets, to come out today to help me pick up the 86 and trailor it back to his place. suprisingly... IT RUNS! i never even tried it after the wreck to see if it ran, i just assumed it didnt. but it runs just fine. granted, everything is pushed back hella far, so the belt is busted and i therefore dont have powersteering or anything but yea... if i didnt care too much about how the car looked, i could spend just a grand or so to get it semi straight, and it'd probably be a decent little daily driver. however, im not sure i wanna do that to my baby.
itll probably just do as previously planned, and sit under a tarp for a few years.
i tried swapping the R's onto the 85, but i couldnt get the damn quadshocks off the 85, which i have to do otherwise it wont clear the rear tires. so its still sitting on 10holes right now. im going to take the car to a shop tomorrow and see what they can do for me, on getting those quadshocks off.
hopefully i can do the tail lights tomorrow as well.
and the t-bird is still for sale.

awesome that you got it home and running, but with the amount of damage, the radiator is probably busted and it will overheat really fast. so watch out!

I keep telling him he should spend the summer with me and he has ALL the garage space and all the tools he could possibly need to get it nice and pretty again... PLUS he might be getting a 351 [from me] for it as well... but SOMEONE doesn't like the valley... *sigh* I'm too nice

hmmm... did the mach have 2 bent frames and a bent in firewall because the engine torqued counterclockwise about 12 degrees? hmmm.. i would guess not, but who knows.. <shrugs>
but it would be very cool if *WE* could take care of the car nicely, without too many problems.
