Well tonight, I attended a free showing of Fahrenheit 911 in Birmingham. I found this flyer on my car:
I printed multiple copies of Fifty-nine Deceits in Fahrenheit 911 ( http://www.davekopel.org/terror/59Deceits.pdf ) and took them to hand them out. They were gone very quickly… <15-20 minutes. Too bad I didn’t have more time or I would have made a lot more. I was wearing my “I actually did vote for John Kerry…. Before I voted against him” shirt. Lots of looks. My friend made a shirt that said “No Moore lies!”
Well, within 5 minutes of being there, I was kicked out of the building. I was trying to hand the guy who “showed” me the door one copy of the essay, but he shoved it back in my hand. No nice asking, no “please leave,” none of that. Just took my arm and took me to the door. So I was obliged to stand on the sidewalk, outside of the building, to hand out my literature. Then they approached me and asked me to leave the area. I said no. First Amendment rights buddy. Then some Kerry supporters approached me and asked what I was handing out. I showed them, and they immediately began the personal attacks. I was told that I needed to go home and go to sleep, because I had to go to school in the morning, among other things. I informed them that I was attending one of the best medical schools in the Southeast in order to become a doctor, and asked him what he did for a living. They quickly left…
So once I got through handing out my papers and went in to see the movie (again) with my friends who hadn’t seen it yet. None of them liked it either.
I was entirely shocked how many people were there who were not voting for Kerry. They were just voting against Bush. These people were twice my age and knew nothing about the candidates. Either one. How can these people NOT KNOW these things? This is the most important election in our lifetimes, arguably ever. I might have known. As my friend said, “Welcome to America…”
I only hope that I helped some people see through Moore's lies... Even one would have made my time worthwhile.

On a serious note....that was a great episode. First one I had seen since the movie came out. Didn't like the message about just go and vote even if you hate both candidates the same....but...at least it did tell people to vote.
5 more days till the election is over....90 more days until the post election legal wragelings are over. Gonna be nice when it is all over.

wow that was great. shows how normal even a president can be. wouldnt it be sweet to meet the man and just hang out and shoot shit and talk about trucks and football and what not? bush reminds me of the uncle that youre parents hated you hanging around cause he had all the things that daddy wished he had(ranch, horses, trucks, etc.) kinda like a guy you could be like "hey unc, i got this problem with my woman...." and hed be like "well, lets grab a beer and talk about it over some pool."
just my 02. pesos.
