With the AM forum code, that setup is better and cheaper then a "Cold Air Intake". I was able to sell off my Airaid, buy that stuff, and still have a little left over. Now my Ambient Air temp is lower and more consistent. And I can leave my car out in the rain now without losing sleep over it.

No problem. I still have my header tick also. As for the intake, I swapped back to the stock airbox with an aFe drop in filter and Airaid modular intake tube. In my opinion, this setup is better as the intake will no longer be drawing extremely hot air in from the engine bay, as well as not having to worry about water coming in from the hood vents.

    Hey Kevin,
(Sorry, I just noticed I had a new message). Well the hood is still off a little bit. My brother and I both messed with the struts, but could never get it perfect. I may try again though. The vent plug seems to be doing it's job with keeping the water off the CAI...I've washed my car several times now with no issues. I did notice water on the top of the fuse box, which was a little disconcerting, but the cover seems to be keeping everything dry, and I guess the GT's would be the same so I guess everything is ok.

I love the sound of my car with the shorty headers. The faint ticking is still there, but honestly, you really have to be listening to hear it (the clearest I have heard it is in the Chik-Fil-A drive thru for some weird reason, lol), so most of the time I even forget it's there. Bolts seem to be holding nice and tight.

Thanks for asking and your help!
