Well started to hijack the procharger thread....sorry!! But really wanted to hear the feed back nitrous. Recommended kits...I do have a sct 4 tuner w/Bama tunes. How safe are they??
Keep it at a 100shot or less and make sure you have a proper tune. I would recommend getting it tuned by someone in your area that can make adjustments to your specific vehicle.
You can go 125 shot on factory internals with the 3.7 no problem. Just make sure you have a nitrous tune. MPT sells a great nitrous kit for the 3.7 and they also can make the tune. I'm not sure if Bama does tunes for nitrous or the 3.7 on nitrous but MPT does.
When I go nitrous, MPT will be doing the tune for it. Highly recommend this kit! According to Rapinator, its one of the best kits out there. Not saying its the best kit but one of the two kits Rapinator recommends along with other high performance 3.7 users are saying. Go with the kit here I have a link with.
If Rapinator approves it and says it's a great nitrous kit which he does, then sold I am. As far as I'm concerned its gospel and he gave it a stamp of approval for kick a$$
125 shot with a canned tune is pretty risky Kona.. I wouldn't do it if it were my ride. I would play it safe and stick to 100 and get it dyno tuned. To each their own though.
If I wouldn't have to replace the clutch/flywheel, transmission and drive shaft in my car to handle the power, I'd have no worries throwing a 150 shot on my car.
In-fact, that was actually the plan, until my car turned out to be a massive pile of crap.
