2012 Boss 302S Racer Revealed

Ford hasn’t been very forthcoming in regards to the new BOSS 302S race car, a non-street legal track version of the BOSS 302. It is a step below the old Grand-Am spec BOSS 302R and very much like the Mustang Challenge FR-500s.

The BOSS 302S will be available “over the counter” at the Ford dealership with a stock 5.0-liter V8 440 horse-power engine. You can order 3.73 gears and upgrade to a limited Torsen slip differential.

Built at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant, the BOSS 302S will have a lighter body due to lack of sealers, glue, etc. Tweaks can be made to support FIA racing equipment installation.

Below are the specs regarding the new BOSS 302S, estimated about $79k. Not bad, considering with a few mods it is able to compete with the best of them.
