A General Lee Mustang? Say It Ain’t So!
This is something I haven’t even thought about being that the “General Lee” was an old Dodge Charger from, obviously, the Dukes of Hazard. But the guys over at StangTv thought up this Mustang based off of the famous movie car.
Why a Mustang? Well, being that the old-school Charger has been modified into a new-school four-door sedan, it wouldn’t make much sense to use it for such action anymore. However, the Mustang, Camaro, and Challenger are all candidates for a more modern General. Being a bit biased here, the Mustang seems to be the perfect option. Not only in looks, performance, and all of that jazz, but it’s crash test ratings are also superior considering the amount of stunt action these guys seem to put these cars through.
Thanks to the guys over there, we have a rendering of what the General Lee would look like as a Mustang the “Mustang Lee”. Not only are we biased, but being the winner in multiple comparison contests between the other coupe models, they might want it as their vehicle of choice. Although, the Challenger seems to fit the mold when it comes to exterior appearances, especially being Mopar and all, it was the slowest out of the group of modern pony cars. If the guys want more performance for their buck, the Mustang may be the optimal choice out of the group, that is, if they would still want a coupe and not a sedan.
Check it out and let us know what you think about the “Mustang Lee’ concoction!
