Behind The Wheel: December 2011 MOTM Winner
The December 2011 Mustang of the Month spot goes to Greg Northup and his nicely modded 2011 GT. Gregtommy, as we know him on our forums, is no stranger to Mustangs as this is his fourth pony. He started out with a 2000 V6 pony that he won off of eBay and flew from Wisconsin to Boston, Massachusetts, to pick up. He then traded that in on a 2003 GT when he was stationed in Georgia, and then upgraded to an S-197 2007 GT, which he then upgraded to the 2011 GT bad boy he is driving now. Check out more photos and his garage here!
Originally from Neillsville, Wisconsin, Greg joined the Navy and has been in the service for eight years now and hasn’t been back to his hometown since. He is stationed now in Port Orchard, Washington and has been for the past two years. Sadly, he has to leave his beautiful ‘Stang for long periods of time but will have some new toys to throw on when he returns. Just before leaving this time around, he installed rear lower control arms, a BOSS 302 splitter, FRPP brake cooling kit, an MGW short throw shifter, and upgraded to drilled and slotted rotors in the front and 14″ Baer drilled and slotted rotors in the rear. When he returns back from his latest trip, headers with a catted x-pipe, aluminum drive shaft, and a tune will be waiting for him to install next.
His other mods consist of ROUSH Axle back exhaust with square tips, ROUSH rear valence, trunk lid faux cap delete lid, tinted lights all the way around, ROUSH rocker panel splitters, quarter window louvers, gun metal painted 5.0s TruFiber venom hood, Eleanor style grill with a ’69 boss style mustang emblem and California special front valence which is now accompanied by a BOSS 302 splitter. Considering that Greg purchased his Mustang at the end of June, he has been very busy making it just the way he wants. All of his mods were installed personally with the exception of his TruFiber hood which was installed by Wiley’s Auto Body in Port Orchard, Washington.
Congrats to Greg for being our December Mustang of the Month winner!
