Ford Extends Contract As “Official Vehicle For Kentucky Speedway” With New Pace Car
Ford Motor Company continues their reign over the Kentucky Speedway eleven years strong as they extend their contract for official vehicle through 2013. Also, two new awesome promotions are available for fans and future Pace Car owners.
A special white 2012 GT Mustang convertible Pace car has just been released and comes with a 5.0-liter, 412-horsepower V8 engine, 3.5-inch mandrel-bent exhaust, coil-over MacPherson strut front suspension as well as a custom exterior package that delivers a pedestal spoiler, side scoops and a decklid face panel.
Fans are now able to play a big part of history when it comes to the Sprint Cup. Ford produced only 43 Official Pace Car Mustang GT Convertibles to match up with the number of drivers in the inaugural “Quaker State 400” field. The Pace Car Mustang is numbered for collector’s and sport unique “Official Pace Car” badging, as well as NASCAR and Kentucky Speedway logos.
