Formula Drift Champ Vaughn Gittin Jr. Is Officially Nitto Sponsored

While known as the Tire Slayer of his Falkens, after this past SEMA show, with Vaughn testing out the new Nittos, it seems like a new partnership has formed. The livery on the hoonigan’s Monster car has been changed to proudly display the Nitto name.

Since Vaughn Gittin Jr. started dominating the Formula Drift Competition, the Falken Tire Monster Energy Ford Mustang became a household name along with JR, himself. Kids and adults alike look up to this nice guy with an extreme hooning attitude. He gets out there to put on a show and makes everything look so ridiculously easy!

From Vaughn: “I am pumped to be working with Nitto Tire! As I enter this new
chapter of my career, it feels great to be aligned with a brand that is committed
to winning and progression, just as I am. I have always been focused on working
just as hard off the track as I do on it, and Nitto’s innovative marketing efforts and
awesome tires will compliment that well. It is very clear that our overall passion
and future goals align perfectly, and I could not be happier with what the future has
to offer surrounding this partnership.”

With Nitto already paying a few drivers, they might consider dropping a few drivers with Vaughn being one of their main guys. Not sure what’s going to happen, but we’re excited to tune in to see the man slaying some Nittos this coming ’13 Drift season. So far, that’s some pretty big news for the year in the sports world.
