  “First I saw the video of you guys CLAIMING you guys driving a 4.6L heart and 300 horsepower GT around the course against an actual horse mustang and now im watching a video of you guys racing an electric car against a Shelby GT, which is a snitch above 300 break horsepower, not 500, like the Shelby GT500. There is a HUGE difference, how am I suppose to believe anything about the cars you people run and compare times with when you can’t even notice your driving a 300 horsepower car instead of a 500 horsepower car like you claim in the video? And not notice that in the other video your driving a 210 break horsepower car instead of a 300 break horse power car like you guys claimed in the video. I will never believe what you people say about any cars you ever test again, you have proven to me you guys have absolutely no idea about cars. And let me go ahead and say it in the terms of the brits. You and your show are rubbish.”

  Europe has slowly been introducing the 48Volt electrical system into their cars, while the U.S. is still using the 12-14V. Now since a car that weighs about half as much, with twice as much voltage as the other car may not be close, I’m sure they had researchers sit back and say “How can we make this car faster than A Shelby?” Well it’s simple, keep the light car, give it 480V and Formula 1 tires (slicks?) and it should be just slightly faster.

  Why not give the Shelby, an “every day car” 10X more power? I am also assuming there is an even trade off between the new tires/suspension and not having a 150lb driver.

  Some quick specs, the G-Wiz weighs 880lbs (w/o battery), the Shelby GT 3536lbs; and if 1 horsepower is equal to .746KW, the G-Wiz has 15KW and a top speed of about 40mph and the Mustang has 237.974KW

  im tired of brits mocking american cars with their smartass attitudes. oh and this wasnt a mistake. they clearly want to make american cars look worse than british cars acctually are.
  i dont think that the british should acctually have a car show untill they start making REAL cars.

  So when you say that the British need to start making REAL cars, you’re saying that an Aston Martin, a Bentley, a Rolls Royce, a Morgan, a Mini, a Jaguar, an Ascari, a Noble, a Lotus, or a McLaren (who coincidentally made the M81 Mustang for Ford in 1980/ 81) aren’t REAL cars. That’s kind of funny.

  Classic Mustangs are legend and nothing to the recent selection which is sold more for hype than anything. Mustangs are bought by either high school girls or men who are lacking in size in a certain area. Seriously, we’ve researched it.

  I acuatlly am a huge fan of the classic mustang, before Ford basterdized it with the V6 pony which is more of a badge for the Ford marketing department to make money. I am, however, NOT a fan of the inflated ego that tend to come with (newer model) Mustang ownership. (which is really what spurred my above comment) To answer your question as to why I’m on this board, because I am a fan of Top Gear not “the obvious being a troll deal” as you assumed. So sorry if I offended or embarrased you in anyway.

You can not like new Mustangs and hate V6 Mustangs all you want. If they didn’t have V6 Mustangs there wouldn’t be any Mustangs at all.

  If you’re wanting to read positive messages, go read a children’s book. When you have a forum that has a negative tone in the title such as: “More Ignorance: Top Gear Calls Shelby GT a GT500”, it doesn’t set the ground work for positivity now does it? It puts people on the defensive (whether fighting for or against). You can call me out on my observation (which was made in passing fun) and yet call me childish. So you can insult people, but I can’t. It is a classic case of pot calling the kettle here. What kind of “insulting” email did you send Top Gear for making their “ignorant” comment? Was that very positive do you think? What about anyone else you encouraged to send emails, did you screen them to make sure they were ok? Don’t expect one big happy world where everyone is positive and respectful of others when you’re not. I won’t argue with you on the V6, I wouldn’t know, and I certainly wouldn’t say that. Who knows if there would or wouldn’t have been, we don’t know that. No one knows if there would have NEVER been one. G’day mate

  Running an entire episode on a car by self proclaimed car guys and labeling that car as something it isn’t is ignorance. It is either they are ignorant or liars. It isn’t an insult. As far as my email to them, it was simply to make a correction to their show. If you don’t have a problem with a car show making an entire episode and getting the car wrong that they are doing the episode in then that speaks more about you than I can even put into words.

  Replying to below…Frankly Brent who cares besides you? It wasn’t a Mustang centric episode anyway. So justify your actions all you want, but I still stand behind what I said previously, you’re not changing my mind about how you’ve presented yourself to me. I see someone who unfortunatly has a very one sided view of their actions, who is always right in their own eyes, and anyone else who tries to say otherwise is on the bad list. In fact, I cannot help but feel singled out after reading comments that others have made on here and their negative remarks at individual people and yet you’ve never even replied to it. I cannot help but think you just initially replied to me to start an arguement and obviously have no desire to even consider what I’ve brought to light. Shows a lack of professonalism on your part. You might want to work on that. Sadly I’m stupid enough to let you drag me down to your level. I guess it is just the lawyer in me to fight for my point.   more hype than anything….are you sure your not confusing the new 5.0 Mustang with the new Camaro?? just because a ’11 5.0 is a 12 sec car from the lot, and a ten sec car with less than 10grand in mods, doesnt mean its driven by those whom you claim drive them. There are real enthusiasts who drive and modify these cars. True, there are high school girls who get the V6s, but the whole men who arent well endowed….they buy BMWs and Mercedes.
