Ringo Starr’s 1968 Ford Mustang Hitting The Auction Block
The famous Beatle’s drummer, Ringo Starr, used to own a 1968 Ford Mustang that is about to hit the auction block this weekend, Saturday, July 30th at www.LiveAuctioneers.com. It’s said that this Mustang will only fetch about $15,000, but there has got to be some hardcore Beatle’s fan out there that may see this as the collectible of a lifetime.
The current owner bought this Mustang from Ringo back in 1991 and has the pink slip to prove it, with Ringo being Richard Starkey. The owner now was invited to Ringo and his wife, Barbara Bach’s apartment to pick up the Mustang that the Beatle had owned for six years. He was getting rid of it to make room for his new 5.0-liter. The owner said that this car has only been moved by flatbed since he has owned it.
This car has 62,000 miles features the original engine which is repainted with some chrome accents. It has been restored with a new paint job of the original color, new vinyl seats in black and camel, carpet and new tires. It has the original steering wheel and automatic shifter that Ringo had used when it was his.
