Carroll Shelby Is Being Sued For Sexual Harassment

Carroll Shelby is being accused by a former receptionist of sexual assault and ignoring a complaint that she was raped by a one of his employees, according to the popular celebrity site TMZ.com.

According to the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Angelica Smith claims she began working for Shelby back in 2005 as a receptionist … but was treated as a “personal servant” … with Shelby often forcing her to go out on “grocery runs, liquor runs, pornography runs.”

She also claims that in 2010 she was drugged and raped in his home by one of his employees and that Carroll Shelby himself groped her.

She did not report any of these incidents to police until she was fired by Carroll Shelby in what she claims as a “retaliation for reporting the rape to Shelby”.

Carroll Shelby is disappointed that such wild and fantastical allegations have been made by a former employee. The fact is that her position was no longer required due to Mr. Shelby’s age, health and work schedule. But this apparently disgruntled former employee and her counsel have chosen to turn this into yet another prematurely publicized, frivolous lawsuit against a public figure. Carroll Shelby has full confidence in the judicial system and believes that the truth will come out through the legal process.
