Video: AmericanMuscle.com Track Rivalry With BOSS 302 And Camaro SS
The guys over at AmericanMuscle.com decided to take a day out of their busy work schedule to have some fun on the track at Lightning road course over at Jersey Motorsports Park with their new Competition Orange BOSS 302! Their rival? A 2010 Camaro SS! Who do you think comes out on top?
Check out the in-car cams from both points of view as both race towards the finish line. Okay, spoiler alert if you didn’t watch the video! The BOSS 302 comes out first with a nice time of 1:20.392 and the Camaro a full two seconds behind with a lap time of 1:22.440. Anyone else like watching that pretty BOSS tear up the track?
AmericanMuscle.com heads to New Jersey Motorsports Park with our 2012 Boss 302 Mustang and a 2010 Camaro SS (oh yes we did!) for a little bit of fun!
The 2012 Ford Boss 302 Mustang was not only more comfortable on the track, but much more at home than the similarly rated 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS. We realize that the Boss is a purpose-built motorsports car (even though it’s stock). To be fair, the Camaro was completely stock, as well. With a 2.048 second lap time difference, the Boss would gain more and more of a separation over time. It held up better at high speeds and extreme driving, with better handling, less brake fade and quicker acceleration.
