Video: Super Snake Vs. Shelby Cobra

Hot Rod Magazine was wondering what Shelby car was the fastest. Our two rivals, or cousins, are the 427 SC Cobra and the all-mighty 750-horse 2011 Supercharged GT500 Super Snake. We all know that Carroll’s Cobra is a bad beast and has an impressive racing history. However, is it the fastest? The Super Snake is more than up for the challenge.

Watch the video to see the two tests: Road Course and Drag Strip. The Super Snake was not much slower than the Shelby Cobra while performing road courses with the Cobra coming out on top with a 1:39.9 time and the Mustang coming out with a 1:40.5 time. The Super Snake dominated the quarter mile over the Cobra with an impressive 11.16 at 128 miles per hour. The Shelby Cobra came out with 12.90 at 121 miles per hour. The Mustang is holding its own against the racing icon.
