C&L Cold Air Intake Question

Has anyone purchased the C&L cold air intake from American Muscle or anything? How well does it actually work? And how much do you like it?

Re: C&L Cold Air Intake Question

My friend did for his 08 GT and he loves it. C&L is based in Huntsville, Al (not far from me) and locally they have a good reputation.

Is this for a 05+ or pre 05?

do the 05+ V6's require a tune like the GT's do with a CAI?

Re: C&L Cold Air Intake Question

what they mean is for a 3.8L V6 you will gain about 5rwhp if that so its not very noticeable, its more of a looks type of thing that if you have exhaust may help the car sound a little better. It does help gas mileage a tad.

There isn't much of a performance gain on the pre 05 mustangs. 05 and up seem to get positive results. Ford got the air intake pretty much perfect on the new edge cars. There really isn't any gain to be had on them from a cai.

I think the intake will help anything a little bit. Just more noticeable on some cars more than others

Ya! For just 60$ why not? It may not benefit much but the whistle was dope... Maybe that's just me though

Im telling you that you probably won't see any power gain but if you want it then go for it... You're better off spending an extra 50$ and getting UDPs though just because the UDPs free up stolen HP and give you a few extra miles on that tank

You could but it doesn't make any real difference out side of maybe giving you 1 mpg, maybe a few HP ( like 2)... What are you driving?
