New Member, 06 5-speed Convertible

Good Morning All From Southern California! Glad to join the site. Always loved Mustangs, and Ford in general. So I waited until I found the one I wanted to be my first proper ownership. Black with red interior, Convertible, and 5-speed. It's the v6 (so as to be a daily driver) to help with my 80mile roundtrip commute each day. For all you classic mustang guys, I talking about the ol' "Clevo"s
Happy to be a part of the community!

Welcome! Post pics. Hey an 06 is a S197 chassis at least. You don't have to deal with a paper mache body like 04-down owners do lol.

Here's a pic. I was actually working at a Ford dealer (Ramsey Street Ford, now closed) in highschool when the s197 came out. My older brother also worked there, and at the time had an 01 v6, and I remember how that solid rear axle was just saw raw and violent (and how neat it was that the shifter is kind of hook shaped!).
When that 1st mustang got to the dealership, I fell in love. We all took turns checking it out and playing with the custom color display. The 1970 mustang is, was, and always will be my favorite, and this body style really took some of my favorite cues from it. I had a 92 dodge stealth R/T at the time, and while I thought it was sexy, parked next to the pony it was completely outshined. Love at first sight.

I was actually working at a Ford (Ramsey Street Ford, now closed) when the S197 came out. My brother, who also worked there, had a 2001 V6 in white, and I just remember how raw and violent the live rear axle was (and how neat that the shifter was kind of a hook shape). I, at the time, had a 1992 Dodge Stealth R/T, which I thought was pretty sexy. When we got the first S197 in, I was in love. We all took turns checking it out, playing with the custom gauge colors, and all that. My favorite pony was, is, and always will be the 1970 fastback. I loved how this one took a lot of the styling cues from back then, and parked next to my car, the stealth was... underwhelming. Love at first sight, now I got my own.
