literally just spent the weekend peeling off the tint from my rear window cleaning the glue and trying hard not to damage defrost lines. Had the rear window re tinted and ALL around you can see the dot matrix. I looked it up and this is a common issue I guess and the installer wont respond to my texts lol so yah anyone else have this issue and solution?
A few I know have put a piece of black vinyl on the outside of the rear window to cover that area. It doesn't look terrible, but I just let mine be. My tinter (or whatever you call them lol) did a better job on mine than what I'm seeing in your photo, but you can still see the area easily.
I'm not even sure why that matrix stuff is even on the window...cut the sun down maybe..? I've never tried, but I wonder if it could be scraped off with a razor blade? That would make a huge difference .
When I had one of our vehicles tinted, the installer just painted over that upper band with black paint....done. It didn’t really block that much rearward view.....
