New T56 Transmission Installation With 23 Spline Clutch

The 2nd gear syncro in my MT82 is destroyed and I can't shift into 2nd anymore. I am going to buy an new Tremec T56 but the spline on the T56 is a 26 while the spline on the Exedy Mach 500 stage 3 clutch I have is a 23 spline. Is there a way to convert the T56 to a 23 spline or the clutch to a 26 spline. Is there any way to do this or should I also be looking at a new clutch. Also if there is a way to convert, does it work well or should I stay away.

the clutch disc spline is the only thing different. You can get away with using the correct disc for your new set up. Or, this would be the opportunity to upgrade the pressure plate and disc to one that won't drag and tear up 2nd gear again...
