Limiter

I need help I bought a used 2011 5.0 from auction and if you rev it in park it wont protect itself and will rev all the way into redline anyone might know why

The limiter may have been disabled in an unknown tune.

I suspected it might have been tuned ill have to go get it reflashed at the ford then

Look over everything and make sure the car is stock. I would hate for you to find out that the tune is necessary for something.

Yea don't return the car to stock until you get more information.

The car looks completely stock. Stock air box, exhuast, wheels, engine sounds stock.

Try it and see what happens. Just remember that once it is flashed, you may need a tuner.

Is the exhaust stock?
Is the rear gear ratio stock?

There is the possibility that a previous owner tuned the car for mods that were removed. You may never know that answer.
