I saw a Mishimoto intercooler for about 300$. However, there is an intercooler kit with the piping included for about 800. I am new to Mustangs and to upgrades, so I just wanted to ask, why is the piping so much extra? Is it worth the extra 500$?
My best guess is that someone had to come up with the piping design, all of the bends and connections, which the company probably considers to be intellectual property, of sort.... Whereas, the intercooler itself is just a "off the shelf" item, which has many different applications.
If you are new at this don't piece something together.
