The dreaded hood paint thread

I've read tons of posts on this beaten subject but I haven't read what the final verdict is on what owners/FMC have done to fix this. Seems to me that the only solution is an aftermarket hood.

A fiberglass hood has it's own set of problems but one of them is not corrosion under the paint. I am keeping my aluminum hood. I scraped off the bubbles in the folds under the hood as soon as they appeared and they stopped. I haven't had a new bubble in years.
