I still see that the 7k redline clusters have carried over to the 19s as well for us Canuks. 😞

I know, you just wanted us to see the odometer with 5.4 km. But besides that, the tach with RPM written out and speedo with ground speed, very cool.

What's the issue with a 7k redline. The rev limiter on both my 15 and 17 kicked in at 6800 rpm so 7k on the tach is close enough with me.

I just find it funny how the U.S model is correct at 7500 and ours is 7k.

I though the first picture with 7k redline was from an Ecoboost. That is what the tach is on mine

Over the winter she'll get an X pipe installed, JLT oil separator, Ford performance hood struts (I can't believe those aren't standard) black lug nuts, front turn signal tint, and complete gloss black badge kit.
She was also tinted 20% all around.

Hey Fast,
I would like to see a better pic of the interior specifically the gauges. And then the engine bay. I want to see the battery box cover, the master cylinder reservoir and the pulley system.

I'm interested in getting better lug nuts for my car, the ones from the factory have a chrome plated metal cover over the nut rather than being a solid piece; at least I think they do. If you find a good set would you let us know where you ordered them from and let us know your opinion of them.

Just installed the black lugs from American Muscle.
I think they look so much better than the chrome.
I also installed the JLT oil separator.

Gorilla brand locking lugs....get what they call "the system" each lug is a lock. order a 2nd key put phone number on keys in case you leave them at tire shop. I prefer the key style of Gorilla over Mcguard. Know this will stop junkies but not professionals.

Awesome!

That couldn't have been easy letting it sit in the garage all winter.

Have you driven it enough to have an opinion on the 10R80 transmission yet?

The 3 month wait was brutal lol.
I've only put 300kms on it so it's still basically new, but my initial opinion was.......clumsy.
Coming to a stop it would downshift pretty harsh from 4th to 3rd and when accelerating it would sometimes down shift harsh as well! My first impression was quite disappointing, but the adaptive learning has pretty much fixed or corrected itself to the point where it's actually pretty impressive. I've read it could take a few hundred kms before it's all ironed out, so it's complete stops and nothing over 4k rpm for the first 1k of break in.
On a side note the active exhaust in track mode is absolutely glorious!!

You won't miss that CD player after all!

I've read that the 10R80 doesn't necessarily shift into every gear all of the time. For instance, during low speed city driving it may skip a gear or two. I can only assume that is the case during both upshifts and downshifts?
I have always liked a "snappy" shifting transmission; but it is a very fine line between a "crisp" shift, and a flat-out "hard" shift.

Anyway, the car and you have some "gettin' to know one another" to do.... So I'll leave you two alone, but I'm probably going to ask you again about the transmission in the future.

So a little update on the transmission.
After almost 900kms it has become silky smooth in all aspects, whew.
I don't understand why Ford would let these cars leave the factory with how poorly it was shifting, I understand it's an adaptive learning trans but it was in a pretty bad state with the factory tune straight off the assembly line, thankfully it has worked itself out.
Still haven't pushed it passed 5k during the break in period but at the 1k mark the factory 5 20 is out for some Pennzoil ultra Platinum full synthetic 5 30. 5 20 is just too thin imo.

Good to hear! I agree, too bad Ford can't load them up with some base info for better operation to start with.

Same here, 5w-30. I know these overhead cam engines need oil up top, but from what I've read over the years, the change was to meet CAFE standards.
